HP DATA PROTECTOR A 7.0 COMPATIBILITY WITH 2012 2 AS CLIENT

I had used Data Protector A7.0 installed in Win 2008 R2 and clients in same OS. Due to some augmentation works Clients in Win 2008 R2 is replaced with new 2012 R2 servers and IS is same.

The new servers were found on searching with IP.  While adding media agent and disk agents to new servers from IS, it is showing " related product unexpectedly absent from the system". 

Is this problem with OS compatibiliy with DP A 7.0. Please sugest how to sove the issue..

After Object Copy operation, retention doesnt change

Hi Experts!.

Im using Data Protector 9.05 and trying to properly configure Object Copy Policies.

The objective is quite simple: copy from Disk to Tape some long retention images and, of course, after the Object Copy, reduce the retention of the original image (in disk) in order to free that space soon, but here is the issue: the retention doesnt change:

 I set these parameters in the Scheduled Object Copy definition:

 I have tested too with the "Recycle data.." option checked, but same behaviour...

Any idea?.

Catalyst and Replication License

Hi,

I have two Storeonces,  models 4500 and 3540, each with Catalyst license.

If I want to replicate Catalyst stores from 4500 to 3540:

Would  I need a replication license ? In the source, target, or both ?

OB2NOTREEWALK IGNORED ??

I want to disabel the first treewalk to reduce the backup time on a file serveur but i can't get it to work !

I tried disabling it via the client local omnirc file in programdata with the ob2notreewalk=1, restarted the dataprotector service on the server, but no luck. Even tried the notreewalk registry key with a reg_sz value of 1. Everytime the backup start on that Windows 2008r2 box, the treewalk begins and takes several hours. I'd like to disable it only on that server but can't see to get it to work. We are running version 9.09 

Any advise, i'm out of ideas for now

Query: On-line Extension for ONE UNIX system

Hi,

We have few online backups running. But when we checked the licence details we could see that Installed license are only 12 while have used 41. Can anybody please explain the reason behind that. How to find out where the licenses has been used.

Unable to Extend DCBF file in HPDP 6.2 version

We need support regarding creating Or Extending a DCBF file. We already tried to extend existing DCBF files and tried to create a new DCBF file, we are unable to do that. Can we have an idea on this.

Hi All :

I'm Trying to Integrate our Exchange 2013 using Data Protector V 9.08 and i got this error " 12:8564 The Microsoft Exchange MAPI interface can not be initialized " 

I installed the Microsoft Exchange Server agent on all the DAG nodes ,

Any Ideas to Solve this problem ?!
