DFS and Data Protector Restore

Hi,

I have a DFS share across two Windows 2008 R2 servers.  One of the servers disks has become corrupt which has caused DFS to stop replicating.  I need to backup the entire corrupt disk, format it and do a full restore using DP.

I plan to disable the DFS service before the format and not enable it until the restore is complete.

My question is, will the restore cause an entire replication of the DFS share to start because DP has 'touched' the files?

The disk that is corrupt is 3.5TB so before I begin I need to know the potential issues I may encounter.

Many thanks for any advice.

John
