If the Encrypted Control Communication ( ECC ) configuration files on the Cell Manager become corrupted for any reason, access to the clients will be lost. ECC can manually be disabled but if there are a large number of clients, this can be a time consuming chore. It may make sense to keep a copy of the necessary files in the event corruption should occur. Hopefully you will never need them but if you chose to backup the files, they can be found at the following locations.

HP-UX and Linux systems: /etc/opt/omni/server/cell/cell_info
config file in:
Window: Data_Protector_program_data\Config\Server\config
HP-UX and Linux systems: /etc/opt/omni/server/config

HP-UX and Linux systems: /etc/opt/omni/server/certificates
