Sometimes backups fail with this message: "90:173] REQUEST SENSE call failed. Possible cleanme signal detection failure."
I think this is a hardware problem and i'm trying to investigate this. Already changed power supply, SCSI terminator, SCSI cables. I went to FC library controller log and i can see this:
1. Multiple messages "CHK COND with Sense Key=0x4, ASC=0x15, ASCQ=0x1 from SCSI LUN 0/0/0 Rte x3" in 20 minutes, followed by "Unit restart and initialization, Firmware Version: 5.9 Build Level: 5.9.28"
2. One month later:
CHK COND with Sense Key=0x3, ASC=0x11, ASCQ=0x12 from SCSI LUN 0/1/0 Rte x4
CHK COND with Sense Key=0x3, ASC=0x11, ASCQ=0x12 from SCSI LUN 0/1/0 Rte x4
CHK COND with Sense Key=0x3, ASC=0xC, ASCQ=0x0 from SCSI LUN 1/2/0 Rte x5
Unit restart and initialization, Firmware Version: 5.9 Build Level: 5.9.28
Rte x3 is the robotics and x4 and x5 tape drives. Can anyone help me with these check condition messages? I need all the sense key codes. Is there a manual available?
The library was tested with HP LTT, no problems found.
