Can somebody clarify the user permissions requirements, please? The GRE User Guides document is very confusing, often talking about "your GRE user" when there are obviously various users involved.
1. In DP GUI, Users context, for the GRE Exchange group - the guide says add the SYSTEM (NT AUTHORITY) user for each Exchange server. Is that all, or are any other users required (e.g. the AD users who login to the Exchange mailbox server to run the GRE GUI, or the Remote Powershell Configuration user)?
2. Using Exchange Management Console, "Configure your GRE user account with Exchange privileges" - well, the above SYSTEM users aren't valid for adding as RBC role members, so does it mean the AD computer accounts (servername$) instead, &/or the GRE GUI users, &/or the Remote Powershell Configuration user?
3. Remote Powershell Configuration user - that seems clear enough: a service account that runs the scripts behind the GUI. But no guidance about whether it needs to be in the RBC roles or have admin rights anywhere, or what rights to registry keys are required (I added Full rights to the exchgre key mentioned, which seemed to help overcome an "Access to the registry key" error).
A clear and concise explanation of exactly what is required would be very useful.
