Greetings!
I am new here :)
I would like to seek your kind help in problems were facing in our backup environment.
kindly see summarize of the setup below, is this an ideal or even correct, best practice?
Scenario:
1. We have a cell manager promoted to a MOM, having 50 + backup on a daily basis.
2. One Cell Manager is imported, MMDB merged and CDB sync. also with 50+ backup on a daily basis.
3. Both MOM & CM are using the same ESL tape library configured on each separately, have its own scsi address, set of drives (total drives is 20, the same 16 drives were configured on both MOM & CM and additional 4 configured only to the CM). devices are multipath but the library is not.
4. Both MOM 7 CM are using its own licenses.
5. Since devices is multipath were not using lock names
Backup sessions failed due to device license issue and sometimes when backup finishes it seems that devices were disconnected to the MMDB that lead to media management daemon error. Also media by default are owned by the cell manager initialize it first right? Everytime we perform barcode scan medias location were transferred to the cell manager issued the scan eventhough medias are own by the other cell manager.
Please let me know for any details, logs that might help.
