DP 8 VEAgent VM Object ID's replaced user friendly VM names

We just  upgraded to DP8.1 and find the use of ID's UUID's GUID's whatever they are for object place holders a sorry replacement for simple datacenter->resource pool->VM name identifiers.

I also do not trust the reporting. Upon closer examination I realized to my chagrin that actually only 4 VM backups succeeded.

Backup Statistics:

            Session Queuing Time (hours)         0.00

            -------------------------------------------

            Completed Disk Agents ........         13

            Failed Disk Agents ...........          0

            Aborted Disk Agents ..........          0

            -------------------------------------------

            Disk Agents Total  ...........         13

            ===========================================

            Completed Media Agents .......          4

            Failed Media Agents ..........          0

            Aborted Media Agents .........          0

            -------------------------------------------

            Media Agents Total  ..........          4

            ===========================================

            Mbytes Total ................. 1836171 MB

            Used Media Total .............          4

            Disk Agent Errors Total ......          0

We also have to go through serious kung fu to get a Linux install to succeed. I have used DP since version 6, I was hoping for more.

Any other adopters out there. Can I get my user friendly object names back?
