"Re-hydrate" B2D Device

All,

DP 8.01 running on Win2k8 R2.

We had a B2D device on an MSA60, RAID5, Drive G:

We had a catastropic failure of multiple drives (almost simultaneously).

While the store was unavailable, I stopped the StoreOnce serivce on that server (the CM).

We were able to get it back online and copy the contents of the volume to a new volume (Z:).

At that time, we decided that we couldn't be guaranteed that any of the information was useful to DP, so removed the B2D device within DP and were going to start from scratch.

While in the middle of doing that, we had catastrophic failures of drives on a different volume.  But, the data stored there was being backed up to, you guessed it, the B2D volume we just erased from within DP.

So, now we need to "re-attach" or "re-hydrate the IDB" or in some way scan the new location and "import" it back into DP.

HP has already had us rename the volume to G:, re-add the StoreOnce device (with same settings) back into DP, but it still cannot see what's stored there.

We've been on and off the phone with HP support for the last 20 hours, and nobody seems to be able to tells us a) if it's possible, or b) how to do it..  From what I've seen, they've never even attempted to "import" anything (or something along those lines).

Does anyone have any light to shed on accomplishing this?  I currently have an open case with HP (still) to try to get this figured out, but if I can get a resolution to it prior to them calling back, that would be great.

Kindest regards,

Brian
