DP8.1 Server on RHEL6, 8.0 GUI on Win7: "Object not found or access denied"

Hi,

I have DP 8.1 server installed on RHEL6 and 8.0 GUI on Windows7 (8.1 GUI crashed on connect, but that's another issue)

When I try to do things like edit user info, I get "Object not found or access denied.".  I can't find any more info in the server logs.  Perhaps I'm not looking in the right place.  Does anyone know which log(s) I should be looking at or how to go about fixing this?
