I am testing the process of migrating content from our file server to a new location. I have successfully done a restore from the weekend's full backup. This morning i ran a restore from restore session ofthe incremental from last night, but it wanted to first attempt a restore of the full backup. As expected, it found the files already existed at the destination location and skipped them.
I was able to cancel the device that the full backup contents were coming from, and then it proceeded to do the restore from the incremental. This appeared to have worked, restoring only the modified contents from the incremental backup. Is there another way i should be approaching this so that i dont' first have to abort the attempted full backup restore?
