Hi
We have been running incremental enhanced (virtual) backup for many years (DP 6 to DP 6.21) with automatic post backup consolidation
I made the mistake to upgrade to version 8 and have had numerous issues since, one of them is to do with the consolidation.
We have 2 sets of backup/consolidation: one for Windows servers and the other one for Linux servers.
We do not have issues with the windows servers but for some reasons it fails with the linux servers. Only a few servers (always the same) experience the issue with similar messages:
" STARTING catalog analysis of FileSystem XXX" from session 2013/12/11-22.
[Critical]
From: RMA@xxxx"LinuxLibrary_Writer15" Time: 12/12/2013 11:43:49 p.m.
Unknown internal error."
or
[Major]
From: CSM@XXX"LinBackup_Consolidation" Time: 12/12/2013 11:52:31 p.m.
Object FileSystem XXX from session 2013/12/12-17 on medium
7b03400a:52a99255:08ac:03fb in device LinuxLibrary_Writer26 is not complete.
[Critical]
From: RMA@XXXX"LinuxLibrary_Writer14" Time: 12/12/2013 11:53:06 p.m.
Unknown internal error."
As mentioned earlier, it is failing always for the same servers. The OS, patches and DP agents are the same as the servers that do not fail
The DP server is running on Windows 2008R2 64 bits, with the file library directly attached to it
So far, we have restarted many times from a full backup + 1st incremental (both with no errors), and also with a new file library.
We have this issue now for the past 2 weeks, and are not progressing much at all with our HP case.
Would someone have any ideas of what it could be or what could be done to troubleshoot it?
Thanks
