This is the situation, I have a Redhat 6.2 CM and a client Solaris 10, this solaris previously had Disk agent and Media Agent installed, for many reasons we uninstalled them and deleted the client, then we tried reinstalling the agents in the client locally with:
./omnisetup.sh -server cm.domain.com -install da,ma
this installs components but when importing we get "import host failed [111] conection refused"; when trying to import from gui we get "[12:1625] Import host failed".
When we tried remote installation the same problem appeared, components installed correctly but import host failed.
hostnames are handled by /etc/hosts file in both servers, pings work fine, ssh connection from CM to client works fine, telner cm.domain.com 5555 is ok but, when I try "telnet client.domain.com 5555" I get "conection refused".
Before you tell me this is a firewall issue (I checked firewalls also, all down) when I try "netstat -na | grep 5555" in the client I get nothing, as if services were not running.
I think I checked all common issues but nothing, please help...
