Hello, I'm new here...
To the issue. We're in the process of switching from DP7 to DP9. (We're not technically doing a migration. We're setting things up fresh under DP9.)
I configured the backup of an Oracle 11 database. I configured it to use an RMAN catalog that it was using when we were using DP7. After the RMAN successfully backups up the target database I get an error about it exporting the RMAN catalog. I think the error is because the target database is 11g and the catalog database is 10g. The catalog database is on a different box.
1. I can't figure out how to get back to where one configures the relationship to the catalog.
2. I don't mind whiching back to controlfile controlled backups, but prefer to use the catalog.
3. Does the catalog db have to be the same version as the target DB? If so, I guess I can create one for just this DB. If I did that, how would I tell the DP configuation about the new catalog?
I've looked through the Admin and Integration manuals, but I can't find any help with this issue.
Thank you.
