Environment: 2 sites. Each has a DP Cell Manager ver 9.07 attached to a StoreOnce 4500. Each cell manager is imported into the other as a Foreign Cell Manager. The
The current setup I've inherited has a backup job occur pointed to the local StoreOnce and then a Post-Backup Object Operation to push it over to the other site's StoreOnce pointed to a simlar store (Windows/Linux/Unix). This provdies redundancy of one site, but base off of this DPTIPS: Maximize Catalyst value with Auto Replication Sync (ARS). It looks as if I could potentially have quicker recovery of data by pushing the replicated job over to the other StoreOnce and also into the Foreign Cell Manager's IDB so it can be restored from that Cell Manager.
I've followed the steps in the DPTIPS and am getting the following error:
[60:1055] Unable to start MSM for import on machine
- Description: Data Protector is unable to start MSM on foreign cell server
Actions:
- Check if the foreign cell server is accessible.
- Check that the correct user access are set on foreign cell server.
- Check if Data Protector services are running on foreign cell server.
I have gone back and checked that both of the same domain accounts are in the admin group of both cell managers.
Both CM servers have thier Data Protector Application Servers/CRS/IDB/IDB connection pool Services running under the same domain service account and their Data Protector Inet and Data Protector StoreOnceSoftware running under the Local System accounts. The same domain service account is in both cell managers.
Any ideas or suggestions?
