data protector log files

Dear Comrades,

Our data protector 5.5 has started misbehaving and i thought i should clear the underlisted logs in "red":

drwxrwxrwx   2 root       sys           1024 Oct 20 06:30 log
drwxr-xr-x   2 root       sys             96 Oct 28  2006 sessions
back1:/var/opt/omni/server#

Would this pose any harm to our system?
