When considering EADR on your Cell Manager its important to keep in mind a few things.
first is that the Update of the SRD file and creation of the ISO is a bit different.
with a regular Client (Win/Linux) the data to update the SRD and build the Recovery Image can be taken from a single full backup while for the Cell Manager the necessary data is taken from the full host backup as well as from one of the IDB backups. You'll note in the GUI to build the ISO or update the SRD file you have a choice of Full backup session as well as the IDB backup session.
Since we rely on the two sessions to successfully upate the SRD and build the recovery image this complicates the process and excludes the abilty to automate SRD update and the ability to build the CM ISO from the Recovery Image (if saved to disk at backup time).
Secondly, it may be easier to recover your Cell manager using other processes.
With the advent of VM' technology it may be quicker and more easily done (no need for an ISO) to create a template for your Cell Manager system and rebuild this, install and update DP and then trigger the online or offline restore to quickly recover your Cell Manager.
Lastly, and most impotanatly, Test, test and retest.
IDB recovery and EADR should be tested and you should become familiar with the processes to cut the downtime of your Cell to the absolute minimum.
