(DP) Support Tip - GUI fails to connect to the Unix CM - Insufficient permissions.

Problem

DP 9.05 Unix Cell Manager (CM), after upgrading a Unix CM, in this case from 8.14 to 9.05, GUIs no longer connect.

The GUI fails to connect to the Unix Cell Manager with the Error…
“Insufficient permissions, access denied.”
An Authentification window says
“Enter your credentials to connect to the HPE Data Protector Cell Manager:”

What has been tried

First the steps in DP Support tip were tried

but in this case they did not solve the problem.

Solution

This is fixed with QCCR2A66076 which is included in DP 9.05 patch 106.

Alternative solution

change directory to /opt/omni/AppServer/modules/com/hp/im/dp/loginmodule/main/

rm the index file
`rm dp-loginmodule-1.0.0.jar.index`

Restart Data Protector
`omnisv stop`
`omnisv start`
