importing client fails

I was having some problems importing an ubuntu 15.10 client into Dataprotector to be backed up.  The error I'm receiving is as follows:

[Normal]  Getting list of clients for installation...

[Normal]  Connecting to client spongebob.test.com...

[Normal] <spongebob.test.com>  Checking for response from system spongebob.test.com.

[Critical]  spongebob.test.com: Unsupported architecture/OS type

      Skipping client!

It looks like it's due to the kernel being too new for DP to recognize, is there a workaround for this?
