Hi. I'm trying to understand, how it works, but can't.
Installed DP CM on server1 (RHEL 6.4), then DA on server3(win2008R2), server2(RHEL 6.4) and server1.
Managin GUI on win server.
Can backup only server1. iptables disabled.
On server2 I see CRS connection failed, but encrypting disabled, name resolving is ok. iptables disabled.
server3 have had CRS error too, but now it's connecting to the CM.
server3 just says "Cannot connect to Media Agent on system localhost, port [40000-50000]", name resolving is OK, windows firewall disabled.
On CM:
# omnicheck -dns
DNS check: hpdp.domain.lan cannot connect to wintest08.domain.lan
DNS check: hpdp.domain.lan connects to localhost,
but connected system presents itself as hpdp.domain.lan
DNS check: hpdp1.domain.lan connects to localhost,
but connected system presents itself as hpdp1.domain.lan
DNS check: hpdp.domain.lan cannot connect to hpdp1.domain.lan
DNS check: 4 checks failed.
# cat /etc/hosts 127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4 hpdp1.domain.lan xx.xx.3.164 hpdp.domain.lan xx.xx.3.81 wintest08.domain.lan
Other clients have the save in hosts. As I think and netstat shows, ports in 40000-60000 range not used. Why?
I gave root privileges for hpdp user (whatever not working), rebooted, thinked it would help. No.
I fell myself very foolishly in *nix and ..)
