CM is 2008R2 SP1.
Data Protector is a clean version 7 install + 7.01 bundle + latest patches. Version 8 upgrade runs without logging any errors.
After upgrading to version 8 the error comes when browsing the restore view for the clients main drive on their primary file server and no objects are visible for restore = no restore possible for only this drive on this client after the upgrade, browsing other clients is working fine.
Same error generated when browsing to idb, objects, client, drive - select msg or media tab.
Nothing gets logged to debug.log
Verified the upgrade procedure + idb consistency before the upgrade with omnidbcheck -extended. Did IDB maintenance with purge + writedb of the idb and checked media.txt for currupted media prior to running readdb.
On v7 there are 3 filenames extents defined, none are above 80% utilization.
I am performing the upgrade with full admin rights + log on as a service + replace a process level token defined for the user, setup.exe started with run as administrator. DEP is enabled for only windows processes, UAC is disabled on the server.
Grabbed a copy of the customers idb prior to the upgrade and have verified this problem on a test-vm running same versions of windows.
Search for historic fixes to this problem has not (yet) yielded any results.
Any good thoughts are most welcome!! ;-)
