Running HP DP V9.0 on Windows 2008 Cell Manager. I have a Linux client serving as a Linux Installation server as well.
When I push out DP backup agents to Linux servers from the GUI using the Linux IS there are times when the it works flawlessly and agents get installed. Connection method is "SSH". Sometime on some Linux servers even after IS connects to it using SSH the installation hangs while "copying utilities". It never completes and I have to abort it and install locally using "omnisetup.sh"
Is there a document where it explains what steps or commands (flow) the installation is doing when you push agents from the GUI? After it connects to client is it using rsync, sftp, ftp, rexec. I don't have access to that Linux server or I am too familiar with Linux OS but system admin would like to know what DP is doing in more detail when it tries to push agents to the clients. Is there a DP debug log I can look to see why installation is hanging.
