Hello,
We have a Windows 2000 unsupported system with HP Data Protector version < 6.2 installed and we have to keep it in the production environment for operational purposes (the old vendor cannot be reached).
I would like to ask you what is the best way to protect HP Data Protector version <6.2 on Windows 2000 against all the latest vulnerability exploits? Is there any official fix and/or a workaround recommendation to stay secure?
I understand that upgrading to 6.2 is not compatible with Windows 2000 as per the Support Matrix below:
http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c02824623
Even if it is possible to upgrade to 6.2, this version still is vulnerable to a number of exploits.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Dimitris
