I need to look in the database for a few tapes for a server we demissoned. We have a backup of the IDB but i'm having problems trying to restore it to a new DP7 installation on a new server.
I thought a restore from within the GUI would restore the IDB for you, but i see it just gives you the files. so can someone confirm what the steps are to bring back the database?
I don't need to do restores or backups through it, i just need to see what tapes were in what pools and their locations.
P.S. i know the old cell server was on dp7, but i'm not sure if its was 7.0, 7,1 or 7.3, does that matter?
