This is the scenario:
Software:
I have Data Protector 6.1.
Hardware:
Six drives LTO 5 (2 librarys MSL4048, one with 2 drives and other with 4 drives).
Two drives LTO 3 (2 librarys, one MSL2024 with 1 drive and one IBM with other drive).
Actually my backup of file system server take about 90 hours to run (5.8 TB with very small files) with only one drive LTO5.
When I go in GUI -> Backup -> Backup Specifications -> Filesystem -> Select Job -> Destination, the option load balancing is checked and set Min:1 and Max 3, but doesn't matter how many drives I select, the Job run with one drive always.
How can I use more drives at same time to backup this Job?
Is there anything I can do to gain performance in this backup ? I have removed the log files , and I'm doing the backup with SAN.
