I am looking the possibility to restore SAP database using SAP R/3 integration with Media Agent which starts on different server than original.
Untill now the solution was to turn off the DP Client on original server (xinetd) and MA was started on Cell Manager. And that was ok, but I have to be able to run the restore process for test and when the production Media Agent is running on the original server.
From the GUI I can select the MA which I want to use. But from command line (brrestore) I can only change the device based on the restored file.
Is there any way to change the Media Agent?
The DP is 6.2 on windows 2003. (I know, very old)
Client is on RedHat 5.5
Devices are shared using multipathing.
