We lost our old DP media server, DB included before I joined the company. I have built a new server and done the following on each of the tapes that were used in the old environment:
Scan drive - Import - Import catalog - changed data and catalog protection.
My IDB now shows all sessions as I expect and the protection is showing permanent. However, in 'restore sessions' only some of the sessions are available.
In the default lto-ultrium media pool, all tapes that I have imported are showing and the objects tab is showing the data that I need to restore and the data protection is permanent.
So why are not all sessions available for restore?
