DP A.09 with StoreOnce 4700 Catalyst stores
Very strange results from omnihealthcheck (omnimm –list_pools section). Exit code is 0, so perhaps things are healthy, but has anyone ever seen numbers like these? (I have edited out the lines for non-existent tape hardware)
Status Pool name Media Type MS # of media Free [MB]
===============================================================================
Good Data_Protector_Store_Medi StoreOnce Backup No 290 1215580525
Poor Exchange_Store_MediaPool StoreOnce Backup No 554 -1990345173
Poor File_Server_Store_MediaPo StoreOnce Backup No 4530 1772616847
Good Solaris_Store_MediaPool StoreOnce Backup No 205 855640625
Good Virtual_Machine_Store_Med StoreOnce Backup No 930 -463411283
1215TB is ten times what our StoreOnce can hold, and negative values too!! Could dedupe in the Catalyst stores be confusing Data Protector? Should I worry about database health?
Has anybody else seen similar output?
A couple of the stores show “Poor” – they have 1 or 2 poor “media”, but for disk systems does a media correspond to a file (or folder) on a disk? Certainly, all the disks show OK on the StoreOnce Management Console. Will the “poor” media disappear when the backups expire, or should I take some corrective action?
TIA
Ian
