I upgraded from 7.03 to 9.02 and since then, I'd had a lot of funky issues, in particular, VM backups.
A lot of VM backup jobs have been failing, with errors like:
Read Error. Retrying to read from disk 'scsi0:1' for the 4 time...
then
Aborting connection to BSM. Abort code -1.

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. [Major] From: BSM@xxxxxx "xxxxxxx" Time: 1/20/2015 6:40:22 PM [61:3003] Lost connection to OB2BAR Backup DA named "ERROR"
I also have a handful of ESXi (5.1) hosts disconnect from vCenter (5.5) temporarily, which never happened during 7.x backups.
Another nice bug is vepa_bar.exe taking up all system memory on the VEagent media server. That has happened a few times already from a backup job that backs up the VM's but doesn't finish.
Other notes include GUID folders remaining in C:\ProgramData\OmniBack\tmp and snapshots present on VM's, so cleanup is not done properly.
I have an active case open with HP but I may have better luck on the forum. It's slow going...
