We are trying to restore an oracle backup, but we don't have any idea about why the operation is very slow.
We have two physicall servers, the original server and destination server. Both with HP-UX ia64 hp-ux- 11.31
The original and destination server have Disk Agent, Media Agent and Oracle integration everyone with A.07.00 version.
We try to restore this tablespace:
Tablespace Elapsed Size
SYSAUX: 6:24:08 6,100 MB
UNDOTBS1: 6:24:08 99,000 MB
SYSTEM: 6:26:54 8,800 MB
UNDOTBS2: 6:59:36 47,000 MB
USERS: 6:15:43 10 MB
As can you see, the elapsed time is huge.
The backup size is almost 16TB, the backup using 4 channels.
Both backup and restore tasks directly on each server through the SAN fabric.
DBA's are using an script to initiated automatically the restore process.
